Common Questions About Truck Driver Training

If you have been considering obtaining a truck drivers licence, but are not sure where to start,
please read our FAQs and common questions.  If you would like further  information
about any of our training courses, please contact us today.

You do not need a learner’s permit to undertake lessons, but you are required to have held a C Class licence for at least 2 years.

Individuals that are new to Western Australia may be required to obtain a learner’s permit or transfer their current licence to Western Australia.

Obtaining your learner’s permit can be done by contacting the Department of Transport licensing services located all over Perth.

That depends on each individual student and their driving and learning skills.

Lessons are available at the following times:

Monday to Saturday from 7:00am – 5:00pm

To gain a HR class licence, you must have one of the following:

  • A C class licence for at least 2 years, or
  • A LR class licence for at least 1 year, or
  • A MR class licence for at least 1 year.

To gain a HC class licence, you must have one of the following:

  • A MR class licence for at least 1 year.
  • Or HR class licence for at least 1 year.

To gain a MC class licence, you must have the following:

  • A HR class licence for at least 1 year.
